A loan of $3,575 helped a member to invest in charcoal.

Puissance De Philibert 3, 5 & 6 Group's story

Judith is the coordinator of the Puissance de Philibert group. She lives in the Trou-du-Nord region of Haïti where electricity is rare and water limited. She has been running her charcoal-selling business for the past six years. She would like to use this loan to invest in charcoal. The other members of the group need loans for businesses such as selling groceries, cosmetics, clothes, shoes and charcoal. Judith says that her main challenge is the lack of steadfast buyers as a result of unemployment; some people do not have enough money to buy things they need.

In this group: Judith, Maxi, Roselene, Manese, Melitha, Eric*, Angela, Eugenie, Ducherine, Elide, Jackson*, Edithe, Micheline, Berticile, Sugenie
