Dieynaba Ndiogou is a married mother of three children, aged between 8 and 13. Less than a year ago she started to sell vegetables, with a small amount of money. She had wanted to have this job for a long time.
This is the first time that Dieynaba Ndiogou has requested a UIMCEC loan, and she has asked for 100,000 francs CFA. She is responsible for her own needs and, thanks to the income from her business, she has started to save a little. She has put this money aside to exchange for gold, which will be safer to keep.
This loan is administered by UIMCEC, a Kiva Field Partner in Senegal since 2008. UIMCEC is a government-regulated microfinance institution whose mission is to improve the revenue and well-being of families through access to financial services, allowing principally women and young adult micro-entrepreneurs living in rural and semi-rural areas to develop their revenue-generating businesses and supporting them in becoming financially self-sufficient.
