Sadatu's story

Sadatu is forty two years old and the mother of two children, who are currently in school. She prepares and sells “Tuo Zaafi” (a local dish prepared from maize and cassava flour). It is a popular food in the Northern Regions of Ghana and also a delicacy for most Ghanaians. Sadatu wants to use her loan to buy more bags of maize, assorted meat, dry fish, vegetables, spices, etc. to prepare her food.

She is a member of the group called “Baa Meyi” (meaning no one is bigger than God). Members use group guarantee principle on members to guarantee for each other as social collateral to repay the loan.
