A loan of $775 helped to buy animals and animal feed.

Jesus Abel's story

Jesús Abel, 34, lives with his wife and children in his own house. He lives in a place that’s a small community with approximately 100 families in the north of Peru; he has electricity.

Jesús raises and sells animals throughout the zone where he works and he also has a job as a laborer with Gandulez. His wife helps him with raising the animals and also has a small store. The two of them help each other out and are always seeking ways to improve their living conditions.

At present, Jesús Abel is looking to take out a loan to buy animals as well as animal feed. His investment has good potential in that demand for animals is high throughout the zone. Because the zone is a bit far away, access to formal credit can be a bit difficult which is why Edpyme Alternativa’s and Kiva’s work is particularly important.
