A loan of $550 helped to buy merchandise to restock his business.

Máximo's story

With 21,000 pesos Máximo will be able to buy merchandise to restock his business. Máximo has been selling fruit for 11 years. He supports his family with the income generated every day from this business.

Nevertheless, he has noticed that his business has been affected in the past months. This is because his wife became severely ill a few months ago. He had to take his work capital to pay for his wife’s medications. He even had to turn to loan sharks.

With this loan Máximo wishes to stabilize and recapitalize his business. The weekly interest payments to the loan sharks have been an impediment, even to supporting his household.

Máximo is married and has three children, ages 13, 12, and 8. The children go to school.

His greatest wish is to establish his own food, fruit, and vegetable store.
