A loan of $1,075 helped to expand the assortment of children's hats in her shop.

Rakhat's story

Rakhat is 30 years old, widowed, and is raising 2 children who are 6 and 4 years of age. In 2008, while looking for a source of income for her family, Rakhat started her own business in hat sales with an initial investment of 5,000 som (KGS). Thanks to her persistence and hard work, she was able to expand her business so that it now earns roughly 10,000 som (KGS) per month.

Currently, the assortment of merchandise in Rakhat's shop is not very wide, and for this reason she has turned to Bai Tushum & Partners for a loan of 50,000 som (KGS) to purchase more items for children. Rakhat plans to invest her profits from this loan into further development of her business, and also to get her daughter ready to enter first grade this year.
