Iman is a 36-year-old single woman who runs her family’s hairdressing salon. She started working in this field at the age of 14 as her parents were not able to support her education. Over the years, she succeeded in expanding her business scope; currently, Iman sells accessories and dresses at her shop besides offering hairdressing services. Women in her area are very content with her work and have become regular visitors.

Iman applied for a loan from Kiva’s partner, Al Majmoua, in order to purchase additional accessories and add wedding gowns to her range of offerings. This is Iman’s 11th cycle with Al Majmoua and she is very satisfied with the borrowing experience. In the future, she wants to focus more on retailing dresses which are in high demand and generate greater revenues.
