Mary's story

Mary is forty-six years old, a widow and the mother of three children. All of her children are currently in school. She has been selling fresh eggs to bakers, caterers, and cooks for the past two years.

Mary buys the eggs from a local farm. She wants to use her loan to buy more crates of eggs so that she can supply to food vendors, caterers, cooks, and matrons.

She is a member of the group called Destiny. Members of the group use peer pressure as social collateral to repay the loan.
