Sao is 32 years old. She is married and resides with five children in Kampong Chhnang Province, Cambodia. She has been selling desserts for more than ten years, earning approximately $5 per day. Her husband is involved in fishing. Approximately, he earns $4 per day.
In order to improve her family's finances, Sao is requesting a loan of $500 to purchase rice to produce sweet cakes to sell. By doing so, she would be able to generate more income to support the family. In the future, she would like to run an additional business to earn more income for the family and help her children earn bachelor’s degrees. Moreover, she hopes to rebuild her present house to make it bigger and more convenient for her family.
