A loan of $400 helped to buy a motor and some parts for her moto-taxi.

Rosenda's story

Rosenda, 66, is a hardworking woman who has a strong desire to succeed. She is separated from the father of her four children. She lives in her own home, which she bought with a lot of effort, with two of her children: Elva, 34, and Benjamin, 27.

Rosenda has a business renting out a moto-taxi that is used to transport passengers. She has been doing this for 7 years, and she considers this business to be very profitable because she receives daily earnings from it. What she likes about this business is that she can organize her time, because in the mornings she is a teacher who works in a local school on a part-time basis. She started her business to have some additional income, because her salary was not sufficient to cover all of the expenses of her children. Now she feels more tranquil and comfortable, because she has a regular income and has more free time. In the future, she plans to set up a grocery store in her house.

This is her 14th loan from MFP, and she is committed to making her payments as she did with her previous loans so that she can maintain a good credit record. With the sum of 1,000 Peruvian soles that she requests, she will invest in some maintenance work on her moto-taxi, buying a new motor valued at 600 soles and some spare parts to keep her vehicle operating.
