A loan of $5,450 helped a member to buy milk to sell.

Ara Pyahu Group's story

The women's group Ara Pyahu formed in 2008 thanks to several women who were part of another group previously. They saw a great opportunity for themselves and their families through the lending group, and are currently in their 12th cycle together, united within the program. Elva is one of the members and she defines herself as hardworking and a fighter who always sacrifices for her family because she wants to give them a dignified life that doesn't lack the necessities. She sells milk, starting very early in the morning so that her product is already on her customers' tables in time for breakfast. She asks for a loan to buy milk in large quantities so that she can keep working and helping her family.

In this group: Francisca, Delsi, Olga, Monica, Maria, Natalia, Aurelia, Claudia, Basilia, Liliana, Marcia, Irma, Gloria, Yesika, Isaubra, Francisca, Ana, Rosa, Nancy, Elva, Eulalia
