A loan of $625 helped to buy materials such as wheat flour and a semi-industrial mixer.

Aroldo's story

Aroldo is 45 years old and lives with his wife and their 6 children, ages 9 to 19. He owns a bakery, which makes products derived from wheat flour such as breads, cakes and fried products. He distributes these products in stores in the neighborhood where he lives and small businesses in the same sector. Fried foods are prepared in the morning and the bread production process starts at 2 pm, so that the surrounding area is filled with the delicious smell of hot bread and his customers eat it for dinner time.

Aroldo's business is growing daily with more and more customers, so having additional working capital to buy inputs in greater volume for the bakery has become a great challenge. In addition, the inputs have increased in price permanently. Aroldo would also like to modernize his machinery. These are the reasons why he goes to Kiva. This is his first loan with the Mario Santo Domingo Foundation, through which he will buy materials such as wheat flour and a semi-industrial mixer that will improve his productive time and make his work process more efficient.

Aroldo's goal is to later have his own home, so he is striving toward it in order to improve his family's well-being.
