A loan of $950 helped restock her grocery store.

Rosa's story

Rosa is a 48-year-old single mother who has set up her own shop selling staple foods thanks to her hard work and responsibility in the repayment of credits. She lives in the North of Peru with her daughter, who helps her in the shop, in a community that is mainly agricultural.

Rosa spotted the opportunity of establishing this food shop over 12 years ago and has developed a reputation in her community as a strong woman. She is now looking to take a loan of 2500 soles to invest in her shop. In particular, she is looking to increase the stock of existing products and perhaps expand the range of goods offered so as to expand her client base and continue to consolidate her shop's reputation.
