A loan helped a member to buy clothes and electrical materials for her business.

Lua`a Group's story

This group of entrepreneurs calls themselves “Lua`a.” There are three members, Aisha, Faizh and Lua`a, who know each other and are neighbors from Aden, Yemen.

Among the members is Faizh, 31 years old (in the center of the photo) and a wife and mother of four children. She started her business selling Incense at home more than six years ago and the result has been very favorable. Now she sells clothes and electrical materials. In fact, it is more favorable than she’d imagined. This motivated her to commit to this group of enterprising women to acquire a loan of 50,000 YER from AMB that will allow her to buy clothes and electrical materials to increase the amount of merchandise she has on sale at present. She trusts that this investment will continue producing dividends and benefits that will lead to a better quality of life for her.
