A loan of $3,300 helped a member to buy herbs, sugar, milk, baked goods, and other supplies.

La Amistad Group's story

The La Amistad Communal Bank was formed through the union of several neighbors from the city of Santaní. These women are heads of their families who got together in order to help each other and be able to get ahead.

Isidora is part of the group and she tells us that, through her work, she has been able to help the people in her family. She is a very selfless person who really wants to keep doing what she is doing. She is a shopkeeper, as she sells from her well stocked shop for a living and, thanks to this, she is able to get ahead and help her family with their everyday expenses.

Isidora is asking for a loan to buy herbs, sugar, milk, baked goods, and other supplies to be able to get ahead and also to be able to offer her customers more variety.
