A loan of $2,025 helped a member to buy products for her grocery store.

Mujeres Rumbo Al Progreso Group's story

Juliana has a spot in the area market where she sells grocery items. These are sugar, rice, pasta and all types of vegetable stews. She has been doing this work for close to 5 years and it is going very well for her. Her customers always go to her business seeking good prices. The business is located in her house and she divides the work between her and her husband. He delivers products to different stores, markets and restaurants and she attends to customers who go to her store. Thanks to their work, they have been able to finish construction on their home. They have also acquired 2 motorcycle taxis that they rent out to generate more income. What Juliana wants the most is to buy a sales spot in some market to open up another branch of her business. Her loan will be used to keep growing her store by buying more products. Juliana is a member of the “MUJERES RUMBO AL PROGRESO” group and has been working with the members for several years.
