A loan of $4,375 helped a member to buy chicks and chicken feeds.


Africa One Group's story

Harriet, who is in her late 30s is married with six children who go to school. She has been having two businesses, selling broiler chicken and goats selling since 2000. She works from 9.00 am to 8.00 pm daily and is able to make a small monthly profit.

This will be her 5th loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. She used the previous loans for increasing on poultry and goats stock to resell, household expenses,paid school fees and has paid back all her loans successfully. She wants a loan more buy chicks and chicken feeds. Her dream is to one day be able to manage paying her children's school fees and to build her own house.

Harriet, will share this loan with her loan group "Africa One" which has a total of 14 members who will hold each other accountable for paying back the loan.
