A loan of $825 helped to purchase more phone accessories for resale.

Nasser's story

Nasser is 28 years old and lives in the town of Luwero in the Luwero region of Uganda. He is married and has two children, one of whom is currently in school. For the past three years, Nasser has been working hard to manage his small business which sells phone accessories.

To help expand his business, Nasser has requested a loan of 2,000,000 Ugandan Shillings from BRAC Uganda. The loan will be used to purchase more phone accessories for resale and will help Nasser to generate greater profits, and pay school fees for his children. Nasser hopes that in the future he will be able to build more rental houses.

Nasser is a member of BRAC's Small Enterprise Program (SEP). The program primarily serves small entrepreneurs like Nasser who do not have enough collateral for commercial loans, but have businesses that have grown too large for microloans.
