Masudi, 43, is the father of four children. He lives in Kaloleni, Kenya.
He has operated a business of making metal boxes for sale. He gained important experience in handling metal products while he was working as a constructor and mason previously.
Masudi's business has allowed him to get ahead, to have a dairy farm, and to earn enough income to have some comforts. His goal is to expand his business more so that his children can obtain a good quality education and be successful in whatever they endeavor.
Masudi is currently planning to take out his first Kiva loan of KES 40,000, which will be his third funding through Yehu Microfinance Trust. He will use it to buy plain metal sheets for making boxes. He generates good profits when he buys in bulk, which is what he plans to do in this instance.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
