Lennox is a single man who is 23 years old. He lives in Kaloleni, Kenya. Lennox has sold livestock at the market and operated a retail shop for the past 12 years. His business has allowed him to get ahead and to earn enough income to have some comforts. His goal is to expand his business.
Lennox is currently planning to take out his first Kiva loan which will be his first funding through Yehu Microfinance Trust. He will use it to buy retail shop items like maize flour, wheat flour and sugar and also cattle for resale. He generates good profits when he buys in bulk, which is what he plans to do in this instance.

This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
