A loan of $4,300 helped a member to buy more clothes to resell.

Merikebu Group's story

Pilly, who is in her mid 40s is married with three children who go to school. She has been running a clothes shop for six years now. She works from 8.00 am to 6.00 pm daily and is able to make a fair monthly profit.

This will be her 7th loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. She used the previous loans to restock the missing items in the shop, household expenses and has paid back all her loans successfully. She wants a loan to buy more clothes to resell. Her dream is to one day fulfill her dream of building a house as she saves all her profits in the back.

Pilly, will share this loan with her loan group "Merikebu" which has a total of 16 members who will hold each other accountable for paying back the loan.
