A loan of $775 helped to buy tools for the cake decorating she does.

Milagros's story

Milagros is 20-years-old and is good woman who is entrepreneurial and has a lot of perseverance. Her partner of a year is Paul who she has a 10-month-old baby with. She currently lives in a rented house that she pays for with the money she earns from her job.

Milagros works providing party planning and buffet services. She prepares cakes, desserts, and meals – depending on the type of gathering. She has been doing this work for five years. She began by helping her mother with the same work, her mother was her best teacher. She was able to open her own business three years ago and she did so with her partner. It is going very well for her and she plans to put into action her dream of having a cake-baking workshop in her house. This is why she hopes to continue working so that in the future she can have a cake shop.

This is her third loan with MFP and she is thankful for the opportunity and confidence shown in her. She commits to follow through with her payments in a punctual fashion and also is thankful to be a part of the communal bank she belongs to, as she has seen that the members are responsible and committed to each other.

With the amount she is requesting (2000 nuevos soles), she will buy everything she needs to begin her baking business, such as: cake boards, decorative tools, food colorings, pans, and ingredients.
