A loan of $1,125 helped a member to buy a sewing machine for her sewing business.

Bushra's Group's story

Bushra is a woman talented in embroidery and sewing clothes. She started an embroidery business a few years ago to support her family financially. She has sewn clothes with a sewing machine, but now her machine has started getting rusty because she has used it continually to sew cloth for so many years. Bushra requests a loan from Asasah, a Kiva field partner, because she wants to buy an electrical sewing machine so it won't get rusty and her work can run smoothly. She has seven children, one daughter and six sons. They are continuing their education. After this loan, Bushra expects her business to expand more, so that she and her family can live happily.
