Warna Sari Group's story

Luh is lives in Pemuteran village, North Bali. She is married and her husband works as a farmer. Though Luh often helps her husband, she also raises pigs in her yard to supplement her family’s income. She has been raising pigs for five years.

Luh is the head of the Warna Sari group, which is made up of ten neighbors from the same village. This is the group’s first loan with MUK. With the 1M IDR that Luh receives, she will purchase three piglets and pig feed. She plans to sell the piglets after six months for use as pork. With her earnings, she plans to purchase more pigs. With the income from her pig raising, she hopes to be able to fullfill daily needs and get some savings.
