Thorn is 41 years old. She is married and resides with her four children in Kampong Chhnang Province, Cambodia. She has been selling charcoal for more than seven years, earning approximately $3 per day. Her husband runs a battery charging business. He earns about $8 per day.
In order to improve her business, Thorn is requesting a loan of $1,200 to purchase a walking tractor with a trailer to use for carrying charcoal to sell. This purchase would enable her to carry charcoal in larger amounts and earn more money to support the family. In the future, she would like to expand her business and build a new house as soon as possible.
