Vannim is 55 years old. She is widowed and blessed with three children in Kampong Chhnang Province, Cambodia. She has been selling Khmer traditional cakes for more than 20 years, earning approximately $5 per day. Two of her children are employed. They earn about $7 per day. Due to the difficulty with her family’s transportation, Vannim is requesting a loan of $1200 to purchase a motorbike for commuting. This purchase would enable her to use the money saved on her transportation expenses to support the family. In the future, she would like to expand her business and rebuild her present house to make it more convenient for her family.
