A loan of $1,050 helped to buy fertilizers and to pay for clearing the land and harvesting her crops.

Ana Cecilia's story

Ana, age 48, is married and has two children. She lives with her family in a village in Santa Cruz in Yojoa.

Ana has devoted herself to agriculture for 20 years. She grows greens like cilantro and basic grains like corn. She grows these crops to sell. This is her source of income to support her family.

She has invested various loans in this activity. They have been a big help to always be producing and getting income.

She is currently requesting her seventh loan with ODEF for 20,000 lempiras. She will use the loan to buy fertilizers and to pay for clearing the land and harvesting her crops. This loan will help her increase production, and with the income she will be able to give her family a better life.
