A loan of $400 helped to buy a baby bull and feed for her herd.

Lindis's story

Lindis is 38 years old. She is a very hard-working and determined woman who has a great desire to do well in life. She is married to Misael who works in commerce and is the father of her four children. They live in a house that they bought with the fruit of their savings which they had accumulated over a number of years. Lindis' business is raising and selling cattle. However, she also occasionally buys livestock to re-sell. She has a 55-hectare plot of land where she keeps her animals and has the support of one person who helps to care for them. She started this business more than 18 years ago with her own capital, buying in small quantities and then increasing. Before starting this business she had financial problems because her expenses rose with the arrival of her children. She wanted to provide her children with a better quality of life and support her partner with the household expenses. Given the good results she continues to see in her business, she would like to increase the size of her herd. This is Lindis' 10th loan from MFP and she feels happy and grateful for the opportunity to have a line of credit so that she can make progress in her business. For this reason, she pledges to make her repayments on time as she did with her previous loans. Lindis will use the 1,000 soles she has requested to buy a baby bull, valued at 500 soles. She will invest the rest in buying fodder to feed her animals.
