A loan of $600 helped to buy boxes of hair extensions.

Sandrine's story

Sandrine is a young, single 27-year-old mother of a 5-year-old who already goes to school. She also takes care of two other people. She opened a hair salon in the capital, which she has been running for three years, and due to her competence, she is acquiring a clientele as time goes by. But she needs to go to her capital to get hair extensions and beauty products in perfumeries each time she has a client, because she buys in small quantities and is therefore constantly out of stock, which penalizes her all the time. There are also periods where the clientele don't come often for hairstyling and other services, which makes her need to buy hair extensions and other beauty products by the box to sell. This will help her grow her business: by opening a mini perfumery, she will lose less time and satisfy her clientele. She will reinvest a part of her revenues into her business funds and the rest will allow her to meet her own needs and those of her family.
