Marine is a 43-year-old woman. She lives in a small village in Marneuli District with her only son – Manvel, who is 20 years old. Marine is a widow and has had to deal with great difficulties through her life but her strong character helps her to overcome them. She is a very hard working and energetic woman. Marine and Manvel are busy with an agricultural business. They have four pigs. Currently, they buy piglets, raise them and sell them after several months for a good price. The total average monthly income of the family is 400 Lari.
Marine requested a loan to purchase piglets and food for them. During the summer she will raise her piglets and then in winter sell them when prices are up. Thus, she will get additional income. Marine will reinvest this into the same business and purchase more piglets to repeat the process again. She will also be able to increase spending on her family’s daily needs and improve her and her son’s living conditions.
