Mayé's story

Mayé is 45 years old and lives in Benin. She is married to a man named Anatole.

Mayé and her husband have one child, who goes to school. Besides their child, they also have another child in their care.

The couple jointly takes care of the various needs of the household.

Mayé never attended school. For the past twenty-two years, she has been selling various goods and, additionally, phone recharge cards. She buys her goods in a town in Benin and sells in her own shop, in Benin.

Thanks to the income she makes through this activity, Mayé contributes to her family's various expenses.

In order to meet the needs of an increasing number of customers, she is requesting a fifth loan from ALIDé. Her previous loans have been duly repaid.
