Leap is 31 years old. She is married and blessed with two children who live with her in Takeo Province, Cambodia. She has been working in a garment factory for more than two years, earning approximately $3 per day. Her husband runs a business purchasing brooms to resell. He earns about $5 per day.
In order to improve her family’s finances, Leap is requesting a loan of $1,000 to raise capital for her husband business so he can purchase more brooms to resell. By doing so, he will earn more profit to support the family. In the future, she would like to use the profit to expand her husband’s business and help her children earn bachelor’s degrees. Moreover, she hopes to rebuild her present house to make it bigger so as to provide enough space for her family.
