Maria Clemencia's story

Maria Clemencia, 32, is married and has 2 children aged 8 and 6. She lives with her husband and children in the city of Guaranda, in Bolivar province.

The communal bank "Tagma Rumiñahui" is made up of 14 members, and is located about 25 minutes from the San Simon office. The members work in agriculture and livestock production.

Maria Clemencia has a business cultivating and selling potatoes and corn. She also raises and sells chickens and guinea pigs.

She is requesting a loan to buy some calves. With the support of this loan, she is going to have her own cows and in this way increase her income.

She makes her purchases and sales every week in the city of Guaranda.

Maria Clemencia's dream is to have more cows. The main challenges she faces are the competition, and transportation.

In her free time, she likes to knit and enjoy the Christmas season.
