A loan of $600 helped to buy cows for his milk sales business.

Vicente's story

Vicente, 59, is married with three children, 28-, 25-, and 19-years old, respectively. He lives with his family in Guaranda, a city in Bolivar province.

The Tagma Ruminahui community bank has 14 members. It is 25 minutes or so from our office in San Simon. The members operate farming and livestock businesses.

Vicente is a farmer. He grows potatoes and maize, raises cattle and sells milk. He is applying for a loan that he will use to buy cows for his milk business. The investment will allow him to grow the business. He sells what he produces in Guaranda.

For the future, Vicente wants to buy a truck because transportation is his biggest challenge.

In his spare time, he likes to rest! He also enjoys local fairs.
