A loan of $800 helped to buy farm supplies and to pay labor costs.

Marlon Raul's story

Marlon, 25, is a hardworking, responsible person. He’s single and lives in the village of Las Piñuelas in the community of Catacamas. Marlon started his business four years ago. He works in agriculture growing beans and corn. When he started planting he had little experience with crops but gradually learned and now he has much experience in this field. He works alongside his employees. The advantage is that when the weather is favorable he gets very good harvests. The problems Marlon faces, however, are infestations in his crops and sometimes rain is scarce and the crops dry up.

The loan Marlon is requesting is needed to buy urea, fertilizer and to pay labor costs. With help from this loan it will be easier for him to have better crops and that his harvest will be of quality and more productive. His dream is to be able to plant in larger scale and that his production is fertile. Marlon has had two FAMA loans and he’s made his installment payments punctually.
