Guram's story

Guram is 52 years old. He is married and lives in the small village of Sabue with his family: his wife, Manana, and two children (16 and 17 years old). Both of the children go to the local school. Manana is the teacher. She teaches in the village school and is a lovely teacher for her children.

Guram runs an agricultural business. In particular he has cows, pigs, and calves. He produces cheese and sells it on the local open market. He sells pigs and calves as well. The total average monthly income of the family is 500 Lari.

Guram requested a loan to purchase calves. He wants to raise them and sell then locally after several months. Grown calves will be sold with a price mark-up. The family will get additional income.

With the increased income, he will be able to expand his agricultural business. Due to the above mentioned, the living conditions of the family will be improved.
