Patricia is married and working to improve her family's well being by selling charcoal to people who live in her neighborhood. She is requesting her first loan through Yehu Microfinance Trust, an organization which she joined a year ago and which has made it possible for her to set up her business and live a more comfortable life. She will use this loan to buy more charcoal to sell to her customers, and earn more money by selling to new customers who are referred to her by her current customers.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
