Phan is 51 years old. She is married and resides with three children in Takeo Province, Cambodia. She has been involved in an agricultural business for more than twenty years, has an extensive experience and is successful in her career. She is involved in growing rice and fattening up animals. Approximately, she earns $4 per day. Her husband runs a business purchasing mouldboard ploughs which are made of wood to resell. He earns about $4 per day. One of her children is employed in Thailand and earns about $7 per day.
In order to improve her family’s finances, Phan is requesting a loan of $1,100 to purchase cattle to resell. By doing so, she will generate additional income to support her family. In the future, she would like to expand her business and help her children earn bachelor’s degrees.
