Lesby Patricia

A loan of $1,325 helped to buy beauty supplies for her beauty salon and computers and furniture for her Internet café.

Lesby Patricia's story

Lesby Patricia, 29, is a single mother; she has two children who are 5 and 10 years old. She lives in a suburban neighborhood in San Pedro Sula.

Lesby’s a very enterprising person. She used to work in a beauty salon where she learned this activity very well and two and a half years ago decided to open her own beauty salon where she offers haircuts, drying, straightening, manicure, pedicure and others. She’s also finishing installing an Internet café business that will generate additional income.

She will use the 25000 lempira loan she’s requesting to buy more computers with their respective furniture to expand the Internet café business and another part of it will be invested in the beauty salon with the purchase of beauty products.

This loan is the third one and they have helped her increase income and have economic stability. Her goal is to grow and establish a franchise because Internet is a profitable business. She is very grateful to ODEF and to Kiva for the growth opportunity they are giving her.
