Raha Group's story

Regina, who is in her early 50s, is married with three children. Two of them go to school, one is still small. She has had a business selling chicken (layers and local chicken) for 20 years now. She works from 6.00 am to 6.00 pm daily and is able to make a good monthly profit.

This will be her 2nd loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. She used the previous loan to buy chicken feed and pay household expenses, and has paid back her loan successfully. She wants a loan to buy more chicks. Her dream is to one day own an incubator for her to sell chicks.

Regina will share this loan with her loan group "Raha" which has a total of 15 members who will hold each other accountable for paying back the loan.
