Francess F.'s Group's story

Salone Microfinance Trust (SMT), a Kiva partner in Makeni, northern Sierra Leone, is very pleased to present to you this group of teachers from Makeni. Like their counterparts in other regions of the country, these borrowers are going to use this loan for different purposes. At the end of each month, they will repay their loan using their monthly salaries. Their school’s bursar is directly responsible for making the deductions and repaying SMT/Kiva on their behalf.

Francess is the leader of this group. Born in Gbanty village in northern Sierra Leone about 52 years ago, Francess is married and is the mother of three children: one in primary school, one in secondary school and one in college. Francess has been a professional teacher for 34 years now. She has requested this loan to buy house building materials (iron corrugated zincs, cement, etc.) for the construction of a family dwelling house.

In this group: Francess F. , Joseph A.
