Abdurasul's story

Fifteen years ago a hard working man named Abdurasul started to farm. He began his farm with hopes of supporting his family and educating his children. Abdurasul focuses on fattening and reselling cattle for meat, which he purchases at the local markets. He works by himself and his aimals have good barns and pastures. Abdurasul also works as a manager at the local farming co-op. He also processes apricots for drying from a 1.5 hectare orchard with apricot trees which he rents. In one season the orchard yield 1200-1800 kg of apricots. Abdurasul also has 1.8 hectares of land for farming. There he grows corn, wheat, carrots and peas. Abdurasul is married and his wife also works for the farming co-op. He also has two children - a son and a daughter. His son is away in Russia for work and sends back money monthly to support his parents. Abdurasul's daughter helps her father to grow and process produce.

Abdurasul has been receiving loans from "Imon International" for a few years and has an excellent credit history. Using the profits from his business he has been able to make repairs to his house and built another house for his family. There is a steady improvement in the family's living conditions. Abdurasul mentioned that this is due to the improvements to the farm financed by loans from "Imon International" as well as the money his son sends from Russia. Abdurasul wants to take another loan for purchasing cattle for fattening and re-sale.
