A loan of $1,325 helped to buy sacks of potatoes to sell.

Adela's story

Adela, 42, has three children. With her husband and her children, she lives in her own home that has been built with the work of both her and her husband over many years.

For 18 years, she has made a living in agriculture: sowing potatoes of distinct varieties such as “Yungay”, “Perricholi”, “Canchán”, “Tomasa”, and others of high demand. The fertile soil in her zone allows her to obtain quality products. “The taste of the potato in my zone is special, that is why I sell my products every time I go to the market,” she says. In addition, 5 years ago she decided to go outside of her city and take her products to the coastal cities. There her products are well accepted in seed form. Sometimes her harvest is not enough for the number of buyers, for this reason she has to buy several sacks of potatoes from other farmers. In this way, she works in harmony with her partner for the well-being of her family.

This is her 11th loan with MFP and she is grateful for the opportunity of so many years of trust. As in the past, she says she will be punctual with payments. She will use the money to buy several sacks of potatoes which she will take to the coastal cities of the country to sell in seed form.
