Isezerano Group

A loan of $2,450 helped a member to increase her capital and buy lots of kitchen utensils to resell and, therefore, earn more.

Isezerano Group's story

Goreth is a member of the Isezerano group, and lives in Gitega. She is 34 years of age and married to Juma, a fish seller. Together they have three children aged between five and 19 years of age, one of whom is at school.

Goreth has sold kitchen utensils for the past three years, and has sold avocados for eight years. This is her first loan request from Turame and, with the Kiva loan she obtains, she plans to increase her capital and buy lots of kitchen utensils to sell and, therefore, earn more.

Over the coming years Goreth would like to raise cows and goats, buy a plot of land and build a house. She would also like to see her children continue with their education.
