Ly is fifty-two years old and married with three children. She lives with her family in a small house in Ho Chi Minh City. Her husband earns an income as a handicraft worker. Ly runs a shop selling fishing tools.
She started her business six years ago. She intends to take a loan to gradually expand her business by buying a variety of different fishing tool sets to sell to her customers.
She hopes her business runs smoothly and will help her to improve her living conditions.

Capital Aid Fund for Employment of the Poor (CEP) is a non-profit Vietnamese microfinance institution that operates in the provinces of southeastern Vietnam and the Mekong Delta.
