A loan of $850 helped a member to buy gasoline for a pumping machine.

Un's Group's story

Un is aged 40 years old and married. She lives with her husband and four dependent children, who are still in school, in a rural village of the Tbaung Khmum district of Kampong Cham province, Cambodia. To make a living, she has been farming rice on one hectare of farmland and planting cassava on two hectares of farmland for almost twenty-one years, earning around 8,500 KHR per day to spend for daily basic needs. A lack of working capital is still her main challenge in growing her business. Un's group consists of three members who are all females and they successfully repaid their loan with VisionFund. Now she is leading her group to apply for a second loan with VisionFund to solve their challenges. As the leader, she is going to use her portion to buy gasoline for a pumping machine to carry water into her rice field and use a portion of it for labor. She hopes to grow her rice healthfully and increase crop yields so as to make a living better.
