A loan of $1,125 helped to buy groceries so that he can expand his business.

José Manuel's story

José Manuel is 33 years old, single, and lives in one of the small villages that make up the rural area of Túcume district. Túcume is quite well known for its tourist attraction.

José Manuel has been selling basic household products and groceries for five years. He sells these products to his customers from a grocery store that is located in his home. Thanks to his good service and hard work, he has regular customers. In addition, he also provides a transport service, transporting cargo and passengers in a motorcycle taxi (a motorized vehicle which consists of a motorcycle with a cabin attached).

Owing to an increase in demand for the products that he sells, José Manuel has decided to request a loan for 2,000 soles from Edpyme Alternativa. He plans to invest in buying groceries in order to expand his business. He would like to give thanks in advance to the people who will support him through Kiva.
