A loan of $300 helped to purchase balanced animal feed for the small livestock.

María Herminia's story

María Herminia is 67 years old, widowed, and without any dependent children. She lives in her house and two of her children live close by. Her house is in the village of Totoral Alto within the agricultural district of Tambogrande. She lives in the rural section of the district and the only service she receives is electricity.

She makes her living by raising and selling small livestock (sheep, goats, and pigs). When they reach the proper stage of development, they are sold in the local market. She also raises cattle, which provides her with fresh milk to sell on a daily basis. She has been raising livestock for more than 10 years. Her work helps her to remain active and earn her own income.

She's requesting a loan of 800 PEN from Edpyme Alternativa (MFI) to purchase balanced animal feed for the small livestock. María Herminia thanks the people who will support her with the loan and sends blessings to all Kiva lenders.
