A loan of $1,500 helped to buy more merchandise for her grocery store.

Marina's story

Marina is 52 years old and married to Amadeo, age 56. They have five children, all of whom are students.

For the past 13 years, Marina has managed a grocery store where she sells basic food products for the home such as meat, vegetables, preserves, dried vegetables, condiments, and other items. Her store is located in her house and she has the help of her children. What she enjoys most is being around her loved ones. This motivates her to continue working so that they can have a better quality of life. Marina says that the revenue from her sales helps to increase her inventory of merchandise, but she needs to acquire more in order to cover all of the school expenses for her children.

When Marina learned about the loans from MFP, she did not hesitate to accept the invitation to join a Communal Bank. She is part of the group called "Santa Teresita". This loan of 4,000 PEN will be used to restock her grocery store with merchandise.
