Fighting for a better future? We need your help.

Creating a more equitable world takes a lot of time and energy, but at Kiva we’re in it for the long haul. 100% of money lent on Kiva goes to funding loans. That means we rely on donations from people like you to make this work possible. For a limited time, if you donate $35 or more, a $25 bonus will be added to your account (you’ll get an email once it’s there).

A loan of $1,275 helped to purchase sheep and improve her herd's condition.

Dalal's story

Dalal is a 33 years old, married, and a mother to four sons and three daughters. Her husband's work earns a low salary that is not enough to cover the family's needs.

For the past four years, Dalal has been raising and selling sheep and sheep products, which has been a profitable project to the family, but she needs more support to cover these costs.

Dalal wants to expand and improve her sheep business, so she is requesting a $900 JOD loan from FATEN to help her purchase more sheep and improve the herd's condition. This will increase sales and improve the family's income.

In this image, Dalal is photographed with part of her herd.
